Ok I’m almost finished with the first AA game and I am kind of obsessed with how they chose to start the episodes. The openings almost always make it explicitly clear that our client is not the murderer. In The First Turnabout the opening even shows the real culprit’s face. And I could understand if there were complaints about that reducing the tension of the case, but I actually really love it.
Because it’s not meant to be a whodunnit, is it? The point of the game isn’t figuring out who the killer is, it’s proving it to the court. So it’s not enough to see the killer, we have to find the right evidence and make the right arguments and convince everyone of something that you the player already know to be true. Phoenix wholeheartedly believes in his clients’ innocence, and those chapter openings make it easy for us to believe too. Now the only challenge is to defend them.
And then comes Turnabout Goodbyes and everything is turned on its head. We see Edgeworth holding the gun—how could Edgeworth not be the killer? The game has made it infinitely harder to trust our client. But we have to defend him, because Phoenix Wright believes wholeheartedly in his clients’ innocence. He will always believe in people who have no one else on their side, even when the evidence is stacked against them. So even though that first round of trial and investigation feels like grasping at straws… we do it anyway. Because Phoenix Wright believes in people. And he makes us want to believe in people too.
i hope you dont mind that i put some of my headcanons in it
fucking how

Still my favorite post
this is great
This post never fails to make me smile, but it always makes me think. I know it started as a playful joke but look how people reacted! They joined on and added fanart. They were kind and respectful.
Now imagine this is someone (likely a kid) thats just starting to explore art! Imagine if we all reacted like this to their “ cringey ” ocs and wonky anatomy doodles!!! Do you know how happy and inspired they would be? I just wish more people built up young artists because if we keep criticizing them and telling them their art isnt good enough you know what thats going to do? Make them not want to create, be ashamed of what they do, and feel bad about liking things.
I would rather take 15-20 mins out of my life to sketch somebodys oc then take 2 seconds and post a hurtful comment
To all the young artists out there: KEEP DOING IT, FLOOD EVERY PLATFORM WITH YOUR FAVORITE OCS,DRAW YOU AND YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS, DRAW WHAT YOU WANT TO DRAW, WE ONLY HAVE SO MUCH TIME ON THIS EARTH I DONT WANT YOU TO WASTE IT ON WORRYING ABOUT NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH

THESIS: the real reason that people stay on this hellsite is not “chronological order” or “the drama” or whatever (per se), but is instead linked to how tumblr, unlike most social media, is not optimised to give content as short of a half-life as possible, but instead is optimised to let content continue to cycle for months, years, even decades. this has in turn led to a more consistent centralised site “culture” in which there is more coherent linkage among different areas of the site, thus also explaining why its content permeates so thoroughly throughout the internet.
new job site: Hey I see you wanted to apply for this job, why not make a new account, again, on this site, like you’ve done with every other job website you go to. also you know how you have your resume with all your work experience? go ahead and put that back in manually. Also here’s a 135 question quiz about your personality. in fact why don’t you write an essay about how much you fucking love this company before we’ve paid you even a penny.
I don’t think it was ever mentioned by anyone in the story or by Oda himself, so I can only share my personal thoughts.
In my opinion it’s just a design choice to make her stand out more. When she was introduced after the timeskip, she was referred to as “the only flower in filthy G5” or something like that, hence the choice of pink because it’s girly/cute/delicate– like a flower. Also pink is not too far from the standard white so it’s not like it’s a totally wild choice. And apparently high-ranking Marines can wear what the hell they want so it’s totally acceptable story-wise too.
I have sometimes joked with @s-fishrain that Oda made her the “Disney princess” of the Marines. This kinda sums up what sort of image I think he’s trying to convey with the pink coat.
Personally I’m not a big fan of the pink coat because I don’t really dig the whole “girly” makeover Oda gave her post timeskip, that includes the coat but also the bigger boobs, longer hair, the other pink accessories etc. I preferred her blue/red/yellow color scheme from pre-timeskip and her more tomboyish design. I’m curious to see if the next time she shows up she’ll be wearing something different.
My theory is she accidentally washed her white coat with a red shirt. Because it’s totally something she would do.
